Belarus Startup 2016 contest to kick off on 16 April

The contest of biology and medicine projects Belarus Startup 2016 will kick off on 16 April, BelTA learned from its organizers.
This year’s edition of the contest will focus on biology and medicine. Cross-cutting projects in medicine and IT aimed at improving people’s health and quality of life are eligible for participation in Belarus Startup 2016. Students, software engineers, scientists, inventors and entrepreneurs permanently residing in Belarus are welcome to take part in the competition.
The final of the contest will take place on 2 July. It will be attended by Belarusian and foreign investors. The organizers of Belarus Startup 2016 pointed out that the winners will get an opportunity to develop their projects at one of the best technology accelerators and set up a high-tech healthcare company in 2016.
Belarus Startup is a nationwide contest of innovative high-tech projects. It is aimed at finding Belarusian projects with great potential and helping them enter new markets.
Established in 2010, Belarus Startup is held under the auspices of the Belarusian Education Ministry. The list of its partners includes Russian Venture Company, the Belarusian software company ISsoft, and the scientific and academic community.
